IntelQuadCore
Hey CountryKoekje (Dutch?), I have a MSI P35 Neo2-FIR motherboard and want to install Snow Leopard. Before I used to run Leopard 10.5.5 on a modified BIOS. Could you redirect me to a usable tutorial on how to proceed? Or maybe you can write down your own settings and steps taken. Returning to a standard non-mod BIOS would be great, but I don't understand how to patch DSDT, so help on that would also be great. Thanks in advance, -niels (The Netherlands) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/186761-snow-leopard-with-msi-p35-neo2-fr-kernel-panic/#findComment-1285985 Share on other sites

themanwhosmiles
Hi everybody, I got SL installed on a single partition hd with GUID partition scheme, but gives me KP. So, i'v tried to replace the mach_kernel with a modded one, but I get "Mach-O Bad Magic Number" on boot. KP with or without dsdt patch. The bootloader is the latest Chameleon, Leopard 10.5.x runs fine on the same rig (iDeneb, JaS, iPC). Is there a fix? Do I have to follow extra steps in order to boot SL in a smooth way?
