Madcoaster Posted May 30, 2006 Share Posted May 30, 2006 Hi all, i just installed the callisto driver for my graphic card. Now i can change the resolution of my screen. But video's are still playing very choppy in full screen, and still no quartzz extreme and core image support. I'm in the same boat as you, I have the Callisto drivers but can't get CI/QE working with the plugin modifications. I've been searching the forums and haven't found anyone that has... If anyone has gotten CI/QE to work with an x700 & Callisto, speak up! gohan Posted May 31, 2006 Share Posted May 31, 2006 i did get both video acceleration and callisto to work my x700 pci-x. i installed koverg's 9700 patch first then callisto. It's two different steps, as callisto does not provide acceleration, Atiradeon9700.kext provides it. In orther to have them both just do the following: 1- Patch your ATIRadeon9700.kext to enable QE and CI. You can do this using Koverg's patch or manually editing the kext as described in the x700 thread. 2- Install callisto to obtain full list of resolutions and refresh rates supported. Once you get it going QE and CI will stop working, which will be fixed next. 3- Link both kexts editing ATIRadeon9700GA.plugin as described in Callisto FAQ: http://omni.starchaser.org/?faq You're done. Still, there are quite a lot of graphic distortions in my setup using callisto 006 release, due to bad monitor detection or some unknown issue at this point. sev7en Posted June 2, 2006 Share Posted June 2, 2006 I've the same issue with a x600 mobility card: I can't get both at work. If QE/CI is enabled I don't have the Callisto support; otherwise Callisto but no QE/CI... I tried a lot of tips/tricks but they were unsuccessful...
