huedrant
Hi! I finally got my hands on the eeeLeopard v3.1 distro from this thread about installing leopard on an eee 701. I have a working tiger install on an external HDD and want to install leopard directly on the SSD. however, I have no clue how to get things going with the dmg file as there's no readme or anything else supplied with it. it only contains 4 folders that look like a osx root structure. can anybody help me and give me a hint? cheers! Embio
does it mount? install leopard on your Eee on an external drive, get it working (instructions are around) then mount eeeleopard.dmg from that install and install to your internal SSD. huedrant
ok, I made some progress: you have to erase the destination partition before you can put the DMG backup on it via disktool. however, now a new problem arises: the disk is not bootable! all I see after startup is a blinking cursor. I tried reinstalling via CCC and tried chameleon as well, no success. how can I get my leo partition bootable? I have a working tiger install available on an external usb hdd.
