jkr442
Hi all! So I set about making my hackintosh today, and upon boot of my iPC 10.5.6 disc a few things went wrong. Regular boot gave me the hardware fault page. Verbose mode ran for a while and said something about no root. And -v cpus=1 got me into the setup phase, except complained a LOT about not being able to find certain things, and now I'm at the 'choose your language' pane and my keyboard and mouse don't work. I'm running a Compaq laptop with 1GB ram, and AMD Sempron Mobile processor which does support SSE2 at least, possibly SSE3. Is there something I've done wrong? Any ideas? Mo Jiggity
I am having similar problems... I have a Sempron on a Compaq M2000, and I don't have to use any special boot options but once I get to the installer I have no input. Hopefully someone can shed some light on this issue... I'm currently trying an external mouse to see if that works. FWIW I'm using the Leo4All DVD image rather than patching the retail copy. And I'm using iPC. Hopefully someone can crack the problem, because I have two of these M2000s to do. vilpostus
If you have a PS2 mouse and keybord, use an USB instead. Macs do not have a PS2 ports for a very long time now. So OS X doesn't support PS2 by default. You may also use a different distro witch has a build in support of PS2. Unfortunately I can't recommend any.
