JBLanteigne
Did anyone made an i5 based hackintosh? Does the new motherboards work well with os x? Apparently this new socket can run both i5 and i7 and perform even better than the 1366! TomCom
I read somethin about the EP55-UD3R. A Korean guy installed OS X on it. Search and you'll find. timc3
I read somethin about the EP55-UD3R. A Korean guy installed OS X on it. Search and you'll find. Yes but I am not sure how much I believe, and they seemed to get the processor before it was released (unless of course its released earlier in Korea). But its undoubtedly coming, though I am wondering whether to take the plunge yet. tonymacx86
Check this:http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/index.php...t=0&start=0 Several people ordered some LGA1156 motherboards there. I got mine and it's working! Core i5 with GA-P55-UD2. Check above thread for details. Also, if a mod could move that thread, it's kind of in the wrong section. Good luck! ZackMacAttack
I have an HP DV7-3183cl laptop with a Intel Core i5 m430 Processor. I now have OS X 10.6.3 Running with qoopz' 10.3.0 Kernel in 64-bit with 2 cores / 4 threads (The m430 only has two cores as the 470 has four). The only thing that is wrong is the Clock speed. It needs to be 2.27 GHz as where in the screen shot it is 2.32 GHz and sometimes it shows 2.33 or 2.34 GHz so IDK. Maybe it has something to do with TurboBoost?
