damd Posted September 7, 2009 Share Posted September 7, 2009 Hello, First, i must say i'm a newbie with osx installation on a PC. And i tried to read a lot of infos before beginning with an install on my Sony Vaio FE21S laptop. I checked in laptop compatibility list and didn't find it, but it seems to be compatible (except the intel 3945 wifi card) because most of the hardware is similar to the vgn-fe45 that is in the list. I've got no problem with Kalyway 10.5.2 install, but when i want to reboot after install, i've got the white screen with the apple, and i'm stuck there. It's trying to load, and then a screen appears that is telling me to hold on power button to reboot PC. It doesn't load OSX. Here is what i did to install it : 1/ boot kalyway DVD without commandline arg 2/ made two partitions and launch install on the first one (other one is empty at the moment) 3/ I chose kernel_vanilla_92, no graphic card drivers nor sound drivers and all mobo_chipsets are checked. 4/ Install completes successfully, after reboot it's loading osx and after a few seconds, i got this screen : What's the problem and what am i doing wrong ? And i tried -v, but i'm wasn't able to identify what's the problem, i will try again and post a screenshot if that can help you. And i'll try -F and -s because i didn't try that yet. damd Posted September 9, 2009 Author Share Posted September 9, 2009 Hello, For those who have the same laptop, i just wanted to let know that i finally got it working, but i did it with ipc osx 10.5.6 release. I tried lot of install with kalyway, but it doesn't want to work. With ipc, the system is loading and working at least.
