Frantic225
I've installed iATKOS v7, which is OSX 10.5.7, got everything working finally, except for this: Whenever I scroll the screen in safari, only the top and bottom edge get redrawn, the middle of the screen keep the old thing. Here's a screenshot of safari after scrolling a bit on the page. http://img29.imageshack.us/img29/1623/picture2mi.png You can see that the top and bottom of the page have been redrawn, but the middle is exactly the initial drawing (with a small update on the link, they update when I hover with the mouse). This redraw problem also maniffests when dragging a window. Here's a screenshot of the initial window: http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/3540/picture3lc.png And after dragging it: http://img181.imageshack.us/content.php?pa.../picture4vq.png Any ideas? vilpostus
Is it only Safari problem, or the same thing happen in other apps/windows? If it happens not only in Safari, than it's VGA driver related. Do you have a VGA driver installed? I yes, check the system profiler Graphics/Display section. Is the Quartz Extreme And Core Image supported? Both must be supported for the graphics to work properly. I don't think I have a VGA driver installed, I just installed from the iATKOS dvd and mostly everything worked. I've checked system profile, and I don't seem to have any of the options mentioned. Here's a paste: http://pastie.org/608507 I've googled for this, but found no relevant hits, I've found a lot of "natit" mentions, found it's wiki page on the osx86 wiki, but besides having lots and lots of versions, they are all really old. I've also tried checking in /System/Library/Extension/ and found a GeForce.kext, tried to kextload it but it said it was already loaded. Could you please point me to the right driver if you know it? BTW my system is a notebook and has a nvidia GeForce 8600M Thanks for the help so far. Actually, disregard that last reply, I was googling and broke my system, I then reinstalled and used another configuration from the iATKOS menu, now everything works fine Thanks for the help Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/184744-redraw-problem/#findComment-1255501 Share on other sites
