vald
Hi! I don't know if anyone else is experiencing this, but I seem to get a lot of crashes while I'm installing normal apps like macfuse, iLife, unrarx and alike.. Weird enough, I get a crash now and then when I'm extracting rar files with unrarx.. I've managed to install the apps correctly...Adobe apps didn't crash.. just want to know if anyone else is having this problem? rfuilrez
I had a similar problem. Random Kernel Panics while doing different stuff. Solution that worked for me was to move my System drive from SATA channel 1 to SATA channel 0. After that no more KPs. Running stable now under varying loads, ram usage, and network usage for TIZZLE:~ ben$ uptime 9:24 up 14:12, 3 users, load averages: 0.25 0.14 0.04 14 hours. anko
I actually had a similar issue with random crashes while doing things like installing apps, etc. Installing Chameleon RC3 fixed the issue for me (I used RC2 previously). vald
well i'm using GA-P35-DS3R; Intel Core2Duo E6550 @2.33GHz; XFX 9800GT 512MB; 4 gb RAM; the dsdt patch didn't recognize my DVD rom... weird enough, SL recognized my NTFS partitions on another hdd, but still, sometimes it lags when i open the folders on that hdd.. so i though it had to do with the ntfs because the apps were there.. so i installed ntfs-3g and macfuse just to be sure it uses the right thing for ntfs.. I don't think the problem lies there really.. right now, im not experiencing the crashes.. im using the first chameleon.. mac recognizes only processor, graphics, audio, ethernet, SATA and usb...
