Aspire5920G
Has anyone managed to install Mac OS X Leopard or Snow Leopard on the Acer Aspire 5739G-6132? If so, how did you do it? Is it possible to dual boot with Windows? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/184452-acer-aspire-5739g/ Share on other sites

The car need the NATIT from Nvidia Enablers and also from VGA the Nvidia GT200 DRIVER. 100% WILL WORK WITH 1366X768, I will try to install the snow leopard for sure but I do not think the sound and the video card will work because it didn't last time For WIFI I bought a hp dell broadcom 1390 adaptor and I will replace it as soon as I will get it. Because the Intel 5100 AGN is not working. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/184452-acer-aspire-5739g/#findComment-1415044 Share on other sites
schleuss
the Broadcom Card will not work in your 5739G as far as i know. Trouble is that the PCI-E Bus does not power on the card, there is a long discussion on this in the german sub board (i also suffer from this issue). They got official word from Acer that there is currently no fix and no means to enable the Wifi card via BIOS. This is fixed on Linux since some time, but this has not yet been hacked into the OSX kernel. Apparently, for some other laptops with the same symptoms, esp from Acer, the Pin20 trick remedies the problem. (google for it). I tried it, but it does not work for me on the 5739G. The Broken
Hello, I've gotten retail working on this laptop (Acer 5739G - with the 240m card), using Empire EFI (R2) .. updated immediately to 10.6.2 and latest myhack. Video works out of the box, I messed around with EFI strings to get full acceleration but never got that working with EFI strings, tried NVEnabler_64 and got fully accelerated video. The only issue I had was with the built in wifi, I'm using an USB dongle instead. SKWIGGS
with linux, in order to turn the built-in and the wifi on, you had to turn acpi off. hopefully this could be recreated for snow leopard.
