webplus
Anyone know if the Intel D945GCPE board is compatible or likely to work with Snow Leopard (Retail DVD & Restored to HD partition for installation)? I've tried so many different guides multiple times and keep getting a variety of different problems using different bootloaders and methods (kernel panics, timeouts - booting via the USB bootloader using -v -x32 etc., doesn't help or really indicate anything) and can't even boot into the SL installer. So I'm thinking this might be more of a motherboard incompatibility than simply doing something wrong due to the variety of problems? I've had Leopard Retail running on this board for several months (10.5.8) and everything works perfectly (except reboot which needs a press on the case's reboot button) and I've checked and re-checked everything for SL without success, so... it's now beyond me. My computer specs are: Intel D945GCPE with the latest BIOS update (GMA950-aware this is 32bit only), 2GB RAM, Intel Pentium Dual Core E2180, Seagate 250GB SATA HD, Sony IDE CD/DVD-R/RW.
