Orumseys
Has anyone had any success installing OS X on the Lenovo 3000 H200 value line of desktops? The machine runs on a netbook motherboard (Intel Atom 1.6GHz), although its housed in a desktop case. Can't find any success stories online for this unit, and so far all my attempts to install have failed.
To date, I've had no luck booting the following discs to try an install - iAtkos 5i (auto-reboots once Apple logo displays on boot) - iDeneb 10.5.5 (hangs once Apple logo displays on boot) - iDeneb 10.5.6 (hangs once Apple logo displays on boot) - 10.4.8 SSE2+SSE3 (won't boot; cursor justs flashes in top-left corner of screen) - Kalyway 10.5.1 (hangs once Apple logo displays on boot) Additionally, I've tried - Lifehacker's 10.6 "How to Build a Hackintosh with Snow Leopard, Start to Finish" http://bit.ly/EZuxe which gets me to the Chameleon EFI boot screen from my bootstick, but once you select to run the bootstick it hangs once Apple logo displays Anyone had any luck? Drizzle32
I have gotten all the way installed but then run into the dumb welcome loop. Which I have no idea on how to get around it or fix it. Apperently it is usually something with network card but no one seems to say how to install a driver anywhere. Can anyone fully explain in detail how to install a network driver? I used a usb flash drive to boot to and then it ran the install from a retail DVD of 10.5.0. vilpostus
Unplug a LAN cable. And/or disable LAN/WLAN card. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/184009-success-with-lenovo-h200/#findComment-1307690 Share on other sites
Drizzle32
Everything on this MB is built-in. I have disabled the network card and there is no cable attached. What is the next step? Drizzle32
I now have it up and running. Solving my loop issue was putting "Graphics Mode"="640x480x32" in darwin before boot and it skipped by the setup and I was able to then add users. Any chance you could provide basic step-by-step details on your process? Thanks! Alex James 777
For anyone still looking for information, there is a guide available here: http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...Desktops#LENOVO To get ethernet working, you need RealtekR1000.kext.zip To get sound working, I used Voodoo HDA (some kexts for this audio chipset cause a reboot loop, but this one works fine) VoodooHDA.kext.zip You're welcome Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/184009-success-with-lenovo-h200/#findComment-1381740 Share on other sites

Worked like a charm. Was then able to download the 10.6.1 updater, install, reboot, and be back in business quickly.
