Carl's GA-EP45-UD3L E8400 Leopard 10.5.8 Retail Install

NewEgg.com had the best price on everyone of these items.

$471.40 total.

- Antec Sonata III 500 Case w/ Antec Earthwatts 500W PSU (Great case for $109; Very Quite!)

- G.SKILL 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR2 1066 w/ heat spreaders

- GIGABYTE GA-EP45-UD3L (BIOS iSrc 1.07, one PCIe x16 2.0, no FireWire)

I already had these parts:

- ATI X1900XTX 512MB PCIe x16

My Experience:

Boot with 132 disk from the EP45-UD3.iso.

- this is a special 132 disk preloaded with kext for my motherboard

- Burn the EP45-UD3.iso to get your special EP45-UD3 disk.

This guide looks great, I have the same motherboard but I want to install Snow Leopard instead.

I have the retail disc for SL, to you think it would work with this bootloader and these kext ?

No Snow Leopard will not work with these kext; but this guide will show you how.
