ExtraBlack Posted September 2, 2009 Share Posted September 2, 2009 i use iATKOS v7 and installed smoothly whitout any problem.. but after installation succed, i restart and it show this kernel panic.. my spec is, intel D845PESV Intel® Pentium® 4 CPU 2.40GHz GeForce4 MX 440 ICH4 before this, i'm install ideneb and ipc 10.5.6.. both cannot boot with still waiting for root device error.. how solve this kernel panic problem? vilpostus Posted September 2, 2009 Share Posted September 2, 2009 Check your previous post... Just in case. Well this time you should try a different kernel e.g. AnV, stageXNU etc.. Many of them are available. As you have P4, I suggest AnV kernel. Alternatively try booting with macmodel=MacPro4,1 argument. May help to pass through KP. But you may face the "... root device" problem again, as it have happened to you already. Let's hope you'll not face it!
