So I've had the Myzar 10.4.4 combo 10.4.5 disc for about 2-3 months now. While I was able to install 10.4.1 after patching all kinds of {censored} and 10.4.3 with ease including with wireless. I was never able to get 10.4.4 until about 1 month ago. I didn't really do anything special except select to not install the 10.4.5 update in the custom menu. Well, I was about to just take OS X off my external USB (looking to get areal mac in a couple of weeks) and be done with it since I figured I was stuck at 10.4.3. I got a wild hair and decided to try installing 10.4.5 again. Now, this is after I had already erased 10.4.4 from my HD. In the past I didn't get past parsing the boot.plist file. This time I got all the way hanging on the starting osx screen. I spent the next 2 hours trying to reinstall the damn thing but for some reason my isntallation wouldn't progress due to usb events and sometimes the damn CD wouldn't boot. Anyway, after about 3 more installs of 10.4.5 it finally booted. Why? I have no clue. I literally have been trying to install it the same way for some time and for whatever reason tonight worked. Sound's on, wireless works, no QE on my ATI but that's fine.

My point is... if you're having trouble installing OS X just keep trying. Maybe one of these days OS X will feel like booting up for you. If I can get this thing to play DVDs I'll just delete my window drive. BWAHAHHAHAHAHAH!!!

BTW, 10.4.5 seems to run considerably faster. Everything's more responsive. My CPU is a 2.8 GHZ but it's coming back as a 3.06 for some reason.

Don't worry about that. It's just OS X unable to report the correct clock frequency. My cpu is running at 2.7GHz and it's reported as 3.6GHz.
