Synthology
Greetings all, I have a Sager NP2096. Installed with restored Retail DVD to USB 8GB flash drive. Formatted my main drive and installed with all proper kexts and UUIDs in place. Most things are working well and stable. Ethernet, WiFi (Dell1490), Sound ALC268 (VooDooHDA), PS2 Keyboard (VoodooPS2), Voodoobattery and full resolution is working well. However, the only thing that is not working is Core Image and Quartz Extreme. I made an EFI graphics string with OSX86Tools but I can only get full resolution and resolution changes but no QE/CI. My card is an NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT. 0X10de 0x0649 Prior to SL, I used Corevidia for QE/CI, however that no longer applies. If anyone can give me some insight on this issue, I would be able to say that everything but sleep is working. thanks in advance. Synthology
I installed Corevidia with no EFI strings, and it gave me some very strange reactions. Anything that requires graphics power such as screensavers and other animations, simply goes black. When my screen comes back, System Prefs quits. It appears as though I have QE and CI are active, but system profiler doesn't say it does and my finder bar on top is transparent. Along with EFI strings, it gives me no change as my issue before. Hopefully someone else with a similar set up can help out. Synthology
Alright, progress is looking good. I got everything working perfect except Trackpad and sleep. Audio with VoodooHDA Keyboard with VoodooPS2 Graphics (9600M GT) with Netkas ATY_Init enabler Battery Meter with VoodooBattery (superhai) Ethernet and WiFi (Dell1490) worked with no modifications. So far, Snow Leopard is running ROCK solid. No complaints other than Logitech not having drivers for my wireless mouse. Otherwise, its all good. Cheers, Prof. Synthology Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/183408-fixed-sl-install-on-sager-np2096-9600m-gt/#findComment-1247171 Share on other sites
