enb14
sudo pmset -a hibernatemode X For example 1 it now works like if I were suspended the computer, if I use 2 it works like a shut down - Try changing different numbers for X - Flash your motherboard with latest bios - Change your ACPI state from 3 to 1 or viceversa in your BIOS. enb14
I've tried every combo, I'm glad osx boots really fast none work it half turns on, but wont turn on all the way I'm using 10.4.4, have you tryied with that version? If yours doesn't works maybe is due to a kext, which extra kexts have you added? sonicbuddha
I have a slightly different problem, still involving waking from sleep. I am able to get my laptop to "sleep" with OSX86, although, in actuallity it is very little like hibernation or suspend in Windoze or Linux where the current kernel state is actually written to ram or the hard drive and the system is shut down. With OSX86, the drive spins down and the lcd is turned off. The system comes fully up when the laptop keyboard is pressed but the IOUSBFamily.kext is hung up and can no longer recognize any usb device. I get this error in the system.log when attempting to attach a new device: May 28 19:16:56 toggle kernel[0]: USBF: 13818.282 ControlTransaction: control packet 1 error 0xe0004057 May 28 19:16:56 toggle kernel[0]: USBF: 13818.282 [0x1edd700] The IOUSBFamily is having trouble enumerating a USB device that has been plugged in. It will keep retrying. (Port 1 of hub @ location: 0x1d000000) May 28 19:17:56 toggle kernel[0]: USBF: 13878.282 ControlTransaction: control packet 1 error 0xe0004057 May 28 19:18:56 toggle kernel[0]: USBF: 13938.252 ControlTransaction: control packet 1 error 0xe0004057 May 28 19:18:56 toggle kernel[0]: USBF: 13938.252 [0x1edd700] The IOUSBFamily was not able to enumerate a device. If the system is put to sleep with devices attached, they no longer function after sleep. Attempting to use my usb iMic, for instance, will hang the system. I've tried unloading the kext, but it fails to unload. I assume there are other dependencies that are holding on to it. Anyone else have greater luck than this?
