FluffyWithTeeth
Okay, having gotten my hands on a patched install DVD, I've booted VirtualPC off it I can enter boot modes, and read the help, but it crashes whenever I try to boot. It gets as far as trying to load Extensions.mkext, then crashes. I think it's pretty much safe to say this is because my G5 doesn't support SSE2 Nevertheless, I still think this is insanely cool. Edit: Hmmm, oddly, it seems that if I simply leave it, without entering the config menu, it gives me the error: "apple.com.boot.plist cannot be found", but I know it's there. What version of VirtualPC are you using? I'm using 6.0 and it doesn't even boot for me! I just get "EEE" and it stops... stryder
7, since it's the only one that works with a G5. Screenie: yay. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I must have a corrupted patched file (ftp'ing over to my peecee, patching, them ftp'ing back to my G4 Mac, then burning), 'cause I tried booting the disc in Qemu and MacBochs 2.2.1, and all fail! I'm installing Win2K under VPC right now so I can patch on my machine directly and burn directly. That should solve my problem. I guess all the transferring back and forth is causing problems?!?
