laneyanders Posted August 28, 2009 Share Posted August 28, 2009 This hardware should be OK for a first look into the creative world of iLife - with iMovie and Garageband. BTW some well known musicians use Garageband for making some song preproduction. You need creativity and the skills to use the tools for music - and some external hardware, like midi keyboard, preamp, electric guitar, microphone, camcorder, a multimonitor setup and not at least some ideas and a lot of time and patience. Rendering video is more taxing of the CPU than the GPU and working with audio isn't really taxing to the GPU at all. You should be fine.
