hy everyone!

i downloaded the marklar-iso und patched everything, worked fine on my HP DC7100 workstation (P4 with SSE3) - but now i wan't to install the funky OSx86 also on my laptop - a HP nw8000 (SSE2).

as in the OSx86 Project Wiki described, i changed the hex-values in the iso to install it also on SSE2 machines.

so, now i've got the problem that the laptop isn't able to boot...

normal boot: apple logo shows up, PC hangs

boot with -v: pc hangs, displays

[HCIController][setupHardware] AFH Not Supported (0xc2217840)

FWOHCI Error trying to clear PHY ports

boot with safe mode: pc hangs, tells me there's no debugger device

i read about a guy who successfully installd OSx86 on a nw8000, but i don't know how?!

i think my problem has anything to do with my firewire-device...

can anyone help?!?

EDIT!!

i found a workaround:

with the bootflag "platform=X86PC" i can boot and install OSx86 :)

i have the same problem.

i normally use sata disc, but for testing of mac osx i wanted to use my old ata disc. so i plug it into computer, unplugged the rest sata hardiscs ( so there was that ata disc only..) and tried to boot mac osx disc. but it stopped on: AFH not supported--still waiting for root device..

does anyone know what does it mean? how to solve it?

Thanks.

my mashine:

P4 3,2 (775 chipset)

Asus P5GDC deluxe

1gb ram

Nvidia GeForce 6600 GT
