It's dirt cheap ($140 in a sale I just saw) for an i7 board. Six RAM slots. Here's a cut-n-paste from the features list:

General Features:

Intel X58 + ICH10R chipset

Socket 1366

Front Side Bus: 4.8 GT/s QPI

mATX form factor

Supports up to 24 GB DDR3 1066 MHz memory

Realtek ALC888S 8+2 Channel HD Audio

Realtek RTL8111DL 10/100/1000 Gigabit Ethernet controller

24-pin ATX power supply connector

Supports NVIDIA SLI

RoHS compliant

Anybody know anything about this sucker as a potential Snow Leopard platform?

It is the OEM board for this HP:

I've been searching for a i7 micro-ATX to build my next dual boot, and this one is nicely priced @ $140:

But it's running QPI @ 4.8GT/s, and who knows what sort of BIOS and Chipset support you will find for it for OC'ing and such... Maybe it can run a similar ASUS board's BIOS.

There's some discussion over here and AT:

I would like to try to get snow leopard working on my e9280t I am a total newbie regarding this. Quite proficient in the windows environment. What should I use. I tried iatkos cannot get past the beginning screen where the apple shows up and then reboots. It uses the same pegatron motherboard

Also is the nvidia gtx 260 1.8gb supported?

I have a retail disk of snow leopard and I have the iatkos v.7 of leopard.

Sorry for reviving an 11-day old topic, but I just got this PC and I really want to put Snow Leopard on it. I get stuck at the infamous "using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 IO cluster buffer headers" when booting normal leopard. With getting Leopard on it, would iPC's ACPIfix fix this?

And, zaq123, using iDeneb 10.5.6 works on mine, but it gets stuck at the error above.

Have you solved the error?

Do I have to patch the bios and with what?

This motherboard is used by HP to run all of its higher end Pavilion Elite desktop systems. Here is a topic I started in the "Complete Desktop" section of this forum to specifically tackle the task of getting HP Pavilion systems that utilize this motherboard to become a solid source of hackintosh hardware.

Please contribute if you feel so compelled. I believe that section of the forum is meant to track such topics as installing OS X on HP hardware.
