osX86 raid 5?

So I'm wanting to turn my machine into a server and what better way to go than w/ leopard or snow leopard server. Question I have is will I be able to do raid 5 using my current hardware, I have a evga 730i board that I believe uses fakeraid. I remember reading that for this board it's really close to a vanilla install and sata works out of box, so does anyone have any extra information on this?
