Allmost perfect installed 10.5.7 on Dell Precision 670 Workstation

After try and try and try and try again, finally, I allmost perfectly installed Mac OS x86 on my desktop! I have two new MacBook, so I'll drop M$ and use Mac for all. Installed OS 10.5.7 on my workstation, Dell precision 670.

 

 

BIOS reversion: A02

CMOS seting almost default.

 

CPU: Xeon 3.6G * 2 (HT On)

Memory: 7G (2G*2+1G*2+512M*2)

Harddisk: 250G SATA

Display: Nvdia Quadro FX550 (128M)

USB Keyboard and Mouse.

Need an additional Ethernet card, Intel 82543 double chipes 100M PCI network card.

 

First I tried way like Precision 650 for iDebet 1.3 with kernel 9.2.0 Speedstep and Chipset ICHx. It could work but no Graphic QE/CI support.

 

Then I tried iDebet 1.5.1(currently the newest version),

Choose Chameleon: 2.0rc

Kernel: voodoo 9.5.0.

Fix: ICHx

Audio: GenaricAC97

Video: Darwin 128M

Format disk as MBR partition is ok, after installed, everything is ok. Now QE/CI working. Memory fully support. Time maching backuped all system into an external disk.

 

There are 3 strange things in my installed:

1: Must instert an additional 82543 double chip 100M card, otherwise the onboard gigabyte ethernet port will always show Not Connected!

2: About this computer in Apple menu was not work. It logs off my computer.

3: Sleep then weakup will no response.(Because this is workstation, sleep maybe optional)
