Give them a couple of weeks and a supper simple install method will be in place I'm sure. They've been working with beta's for a while.

Not sure where the post is at on installation of Snow Leopard on a Dell Mini 9 but I wanted to report that I am running SL with no problems on my wife's DM 9. Using the mechdrew guide, I setup a USB with SL and install went without a hitch. I had to use the VoodooHDA kext for audio but the 10.6.1 update and iTunes 9 work flawlessly. Home sharing in itunes 9 works seamlessly and Safari, including Java, run without issue. Here's the link to the mechdrew guide.

Hope this helps someone.

I've installed multiple versions of 10.5.X on my mini9 and had no issues at all, but then I was using one of the cracked ideneb installs. This is the first time trying to use the actual Snow Leopard install cd. The only thing I'm having a problem is that it boots, gives me the apple boot screen, without the turning wheel though, then the screen turns all grey and nothing happens. I left it sitting there at that screen literally all day hoping it would continue with no results.

I tried it with both the combo update and with just the bare snow leopard install and get the same results. I think ONCE I hit the shutdown key and s and the screen cleared, right before it shut down.

Anyone else run into this kind of problem? I would really hate to go back to 10.5.8, but I will before I put windows back on this machine.

Thanks.
