Hi,

My hackintosh is running retail leopard 10.5.8. Almost everything working fine except shutdown. So I searched a couple of websites and found some tips. Most of them suggested to choose "Restart automatically after a power failure" to work shutdown properly but I can't find this option in my system. Any idea???

mine doesnt have it either, heck it doesn't even have the options tab. I just installed SL and it still doesn't sleep. I'm starting to wonder if it's my 1.5 gb/s barracuda drive that is the culprit or perhaps because I am using two optical sata dvd drives, one being a bluray drive.

AppleLPC.kext must be loaded on your system for the 'Automatically Restart' setting to show in the Energy Saver prefs.

Run LSPCI to see the device and vendor ID of your LPC device, then edit info.plist in AppleLPC.kext to include it.

Or you can patch the LPC device in your DSDT with a compatible device ID using the method outlined by zhell here:
