Hi everyone,

I have a question, I think it's something I'm overlooking, I hope someone can shed some light on my question.

I understood that iAtkos v7 uses the chameleon bootloader which allows having the /extra directory for kexts not to be overrided during upgrades, and now I see an available update from 10.5.7 to 10.5.8 in my Software Update...

So if I went ahead and checked all of those drivers needed for my system during customization of iAtkos v7 how come they are not in /Extra? If I upgrade will I not be able to boot correctly?

Thanks for the help!

Elad

If there's nothing in /extra, it means that your modified kexts are in S/L/E along with everything else.

So your situation is the same as it is for everyone else who's running a hacked distro.

But I installed iAtkos 7 which has EFI 10 or something and all the kexts I ever installed were through the customize button of the installation, I selected to use Chamaleon Bootloader and create the /Extra directory and everything, I don't see what I have done wrong?
