Shaumux
Ok i'm currently running ideneb 1.4 updated to 10.5.7 with chameleon rc1 as the boot loader. But now pc_efi 10.1 and 10.2 beta has been released. Both have some good features. Pc-efi says its based on chameleon 2 source code. also 10.1 supports booting without custom dsdt modified bios but chameleon 2 supports nvidia card detection. So i'm a little confused here about which one to use. What would be advantages or disadvantages of them compared to the other. thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/180582-chameleon-or-pc_efi/ Share on other sites
westwaerts
DSDT Override is a method to indicate the devices to the system, while booting. ( both support this feature, so you need not flash your bios to have the effect) Chameleon detecs some devices ( dont know the method) PC Efi supports EFI-Strings ( another method to indicate devices to the system at boot) PC Efi v10 supports 64bit tables more than v9 ( that will have effects with osx 10.6) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/180582-chameleon-or-pc_efi/#findComment-1229722 Share on other sites
