2 HD SATA

ATI Radeon 9600 Pro EZ

OSX 10.4.6 Jas

ALL GOOD!!!

 

but,

 

My Laptop HP Pavilion ZV6000

only osx 10.4.6 Hackers Group works parcial

 

Anyone knows how to HP Pavilion ZV6000 work with Tiger x86 (10.4.4 or 10.4.5 or 10.4.6)????

 

HP Pavilion zv6000

AMD 64 3200+

ATI Express 200x 128mb

 

10.4.4 wont install

10.4.5 wont install

10.4.6 wont install

 

I will need some special PACTH????

You can see my specs in my sig, but I have installed 10.4.6 2 times now and I have gotten the wireless card working, but havent been able to get anything else up yet, the calisto drivers dont seem to work on the x200 yet. I used teh 10.4.6 Jas iso just search 10.4.6 on pirate bay to find the torrent. Good luck

my wireless card working too! and ethernet too!

I also have an HP pavilion zv6000 (zv6130us) and I have 10.4.6 jas version installed. My laptop is running with an xbench of +65...fast...and nice. Omni's b003 worked for me and I have 1280 x 800 res. with the x200PCI video card. I did have to remove the AppleGenericPCATA.kext text and replace it with AppleOnboardPCATA.kext to make it go full blast. Anyway, do not give up on it.

Same laptop here!... An HP Pavilion zv6130US Laptop, but mine is running MacOSX_10.4.4DVDPATCHED_Myz.iso.

 

I just performed my benchmarks with xbench but I got a misserable 9.45 result!!!

 

I've been trying to fix my video so I can at least run at native resolution of 1280x800 without success.

 

Ortiz.osx86, how did you manage to get that impresive xbench and resolution?

 

 

When I removed the AppleGenericPCATA.kext from the system and replace it with AppleOnBoardPCATA.kext, the system performed really nice, but at the next reboot it just failed to boot again (couldn't find boot device or something).

 

Any help would be much appreciated!

I finally have a fully functioning laptop!

 

Well just QE/CI is still missing, but everthing else works just fine.

 

It's not the fastest hackintosh arround specially compared to my Dell Desktop (Optiplex GX520) which scored an amazing 78+ points in xbench but it's well worth the effort!

first of all thanks again to JaS for DVD's. (the one I'm using is JaS 10.4.8)

 

I've managed to install only one of them yesterday (the longest name

one), another had no compatible with my laptop ATA driver, so it produced

"still waiting for kernel"

then problem was resolved, proper AppleOnboardATA.kext installed replacing original AppleGenericATA.kext as well as AppleOnboardATA.kext

(originals were replaced in both places for guarantee: /System/Library/Extensions/ as well as /System/Library/Extensions/IOATAFamily.kext/Contents/Plugins/ with adjustment owner/rights)

my laptop is AMD x64 SSE3 Venice core based (I upgraded CPU, as it's Socket939 based)

bluetooth, keyboard, touchpad works "right from the box" as usual

wifi (same Broadcom chipset as BT) started working after "little

trick", but very well known one:

as AppleAirPortBrcm4311.kext , which support 4320, was already inside JaS 10.4.8, so the only action needed to modify

/Library/Preferences/SystemPreferences/Network (rename en0 to en1

 

audio is working, including laptop case embedded audio regulation buttons. however,

one button click does not apply to one element of bar, instead volume "runs away" untill the end of graph bar;

mute button working also

 

DVD drive was not readable anymore after installation of original JaS 10.4.8, then

was fixed after installing special version of AppleOnboardATA.kext (described above)

 

 

resolution adjuster callisto (aka Callysto.003fix) was found and altered (CallistoHAL.kext, value 10023150 was replaced with 10025955)

then installed and resolution native 1280x800 is enabled now

 

power manager appeared and is working (partially), it shows power mode (battery/power supply) and level of battery charge, but

fan turns/runs always on maximum speed always (even Activity monitor show only 3% of load)

and display does not recover from standby mode
