Help,

I installed Kalaway 10.5.2 from disc using the Vanilla kernal and upgraded to 10.5.3 using Kalaway combo update to 10.5.3 which work perfect.

I then used Apple Update to update straight to 10.5.8 and am told on start up (apple logo, grey screen) that i need to restart my computer and am advised to either press the restart button or hold down the power button.

Any ideas on what went wrong?

Thanks in advance,

Jack.

Try the fallowing:

remove ApplePowerManagment.kext (if exists, it actualy must in your case)

than reinstal or replace kernel (not needed if it's truly vanilla system)

I gues your priveous update might replaced vanilla kernel with different one, so the system may need some finetuning. Search posts for post install procedures.
