When I try to boot from the iPC 10.5.6 universal dvd,I get a kernel panic, and the whole process halts right there.

From what I've read, this isn't that common a problem. What's strange is that I've successfully installed Leopard from this very same disc onto the very same laptop just 2 months ago.

Circumstances forced me to wipe my drive and re-install both Windows and OS X, but not the dvd won't boot.

Any ideas why? It's an Intel system, with 4gb RAM and an nvidia gfx chip.

Will try booting with a Kalyway dvd as well as burning a new iPC dvd to see if they work.

Edit: Well, Kalyway 10.5.2 boots just fine, and the newly-burnt iPC disc results in the same kernel panic, so it's not a problem with the disc.
