OK I've been searching for about two weeks to see if there is an existing solution but it seems like the issues with com.apple.boot.plist not found are mostly because of non-sata DVD drives...and occur before the installation can take place. I've got a bit of a different one here:

My setup:

Dimension 9200

Core 2 Duo

4 GB RAM

SATA DVD & HDD (WDRaptor)

I'm using ToH OSX86 10.5.4 (and I tried iPC OSX86 10.5.6) and both will boot from the DVD and INSTALL JUST FINE. The issue happens when I restart and it tries to hand-off to the HDD I'm guessing...this is when i get the com.apple.boot.plist not found error. I tried the -v and -f flags but it still gets stuck. I'm new to this so I am not able yet to determine where the error is coming from by using -v.

Can anyone help get me started in fixing this or point me in the right direction? Anything would be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks!

its due to to HD, which is not found.

try to flag it active

I tried flagging it as active and it would not write to the MBR...said it needed to do that on a restart, but when I restarted I was in the same boat.

I was able to get it up and running on iPC 10.5.6 after plugging in the OSX hard drive to SATA port 0 and removing my windows drive.

I'm sure after learning how to manipulate the boot records a little better then I will be able to have a happy coexistence between the two OSs.

Thanks for your help.
