I have a big LCD monitor connected to my hackintosh. Unfortunately, the maximum resolution that i can set is 640x480x32. I've try to modify the boot.plist to 1024x768x32 but nothing change.

If i connect my hackintosh to an old Philips CRT 17" the resolution works perfectly to 1280x1024x768 (with modify the boot.plist)

So...there is a system to force the resolution monitor?? :-(

P.S. The resolution of 1024 is supported on my LCD because in windows works fine.

Thx, SwissBoy!!

After 1 hour i've find the solution!

I've connected the monitor lcd with the DVI signal....simple connect my LCD with the VGA cable and the resolution works fine!!!

For those that don't work this trick, there is a program for force the resolution on OSX

(use google to find the program...or i can post it if is ok for the moderator....)

Hello and thx!

I'm not sure if is ok for all the monitor...but for me, when i've connected the VGA, after the reboot all works correctly at 1280x1024.

So i suppose can be a problem with a DVI signal that force the resolution.

Now the last problem is activate the Wireless PCI card (U.S. Robotics).

Anyone know if is possible this??
