JeffMcMacMan
Hey all, I am looking for some pointers here. I have three macs (hacks). Two can file share perfectly. When trying to connect to "Mac C" I get a Connection Failed message. I have the firewall set to allow all incoming connections. And, in fact I can ssh to Mac C, and share its screen. I am certain that I am using the proper IP address: aftp://111.111.11.11. When I open the firewall log on Mac C, it shows that Mac A is trying to connect to it. (But never succeeds.) I have verified my permissions using disk utility. I get the same results using SMB. Mac C - the broken one, is an Iatkos V7 vanilla kernel box. Mac B - the same (works great) Mac A - is an IBM t42p running ideneb 10.5.5 (works great) Is there some kext that I can reinstall, or something to that effect? Love to hear your ideas. Thank you. JeffMcMacMan
So, to follow up. I used Pacifier to extract the AppleShare file system on the the broken machine. Still no love. I was wrong about SMB, though, that is working. Ideas would be appreciated! Thanks.
