saibarspeis
Hi guys, I don't even know if this is the right place to post the topic. The Machine: Name: Toshiba Satellite A200-1OR CPU: Core 2 Duo 1500Mhz RAM: 2GB DDR Mainboard: Intel Mobile PM965/GM965/GL960 VGA: 1002:94c9 ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2400 Audio: 1002:aa10 ATI RV610 audio device [Radeon HD 2400 PRO] ?? or 8086:284b Intel 82801H ICH8 HD Audio Controller HD: 150 GB SATA I've wiped the whole hard drive and created one GUID partition the length of the entire disk. I've selected the devices corresponding to my configuration and the latest Voodoo Kernel. I've also used ACPI and selected ApplePS2 drivers so I't won't cause problems. After booting the laptop I see the splash screen and at the login prompt some music is playing but there's the screen is blank. I've tried several procedures by booting in safe mode and editing the ATI kext in /System/Libraries. Now I'm trying another example from this post http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/lofiversi...07526-1950.html but I can't start the machine into graphic mode. Does anybody know how you can DISABLE ati drivers and go back to vesa generic method so I can fire up the OSX ? LE: I just figured out to insert a monitor on my VGA out plug. It seems the display is correctly and perfectly spawned there. How can I switch this ? How do I make the system prefer the internal LCD display ? Phongey
I dont think you can... i believe all mobility hd cards have that issue with OSX.. something to do with the internal connector used for the lcd. I could be wrong, I just havent heard of any success stories. as for returning to VESA drivers i just deleted everything that said ATI in it..... but you will lose QE/CI and resolutions and what not. snorry Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/179474-iatkos-v7-on-toshiba-satellite-a200-1or/#findComment-1223912 Share on other sites
saibarspeis
Thx for the reply. I've reinstalled the system and entered safe mode, erased anything starting with ATI in /Library/Extensions and the system booted up with VESA states on the main display. I'll wait for lastExile maybe he'll discover something and release a proper driver for mobility radeon hd and then I'll be real happy. Hi all, I am very new in installing Mac OSX (iATKOS V7) on a laptop. Fujitsu Siemens Esprimo V5545, ATI HD 2400 and I have the same problem like you. I have started in safe mode, I found the ATI....kext files but I do not know how to delete them (read-only system file). Thx, Have a nice day.
