LOLmoe Posted August 11, 2009 Share Posted August 11, 2009 Hey guys... My motherboard is a P43-DS3LR (Gigabyte) and I installed 10.5.6 on it. (No modifications) In Extra folder for Chameleon, Only Kexts I needed are AppleDecrypt.kext, and IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.Kext. For using KextHelper, I added these: VoodooHDA, HDA Enabler, and OpenHaltRestart (well idk if this counts, I installed the Power off fix) my mobo has alc 888 audio p43 chipset ich10r core 2 duo e7500. I got rid of these (lol are any of these essential?) IOUSBFamily.kext AHCIPortInjector.kext Disabler.kext VoodooPower.kext ATAPortInjector.kext JMicronATAInjector.kext (I don't even think my Motherboard has a Jmicron controller) IDK if ATAPortInjector enables PATA, but I don't use that... but I can surely test it. Can anyone tell me what these Kexts do? Also, I have some more questions. 1. How can I fix the Sleep funciton? If I click on Sleep, screen turns black, but the computer doesn't turn off. 2. The OS is 10.5.8 right now, and in System Profiler, in Hardware Overview, it gives me an error instead of displaying anything. 3. What's the difference between using Kext Helper or placing it in the Extra/Extensions folder for Chameleon? Which is better? thanks ***JUST TESTED. PATA(IDE) HDD IS RECOGNIZED ****JUST TESTED ALL 6 SATA PORTS (I switched my HDD and DVDrw Cables from 0,1,2,3,4,5 and all got recognized in the OS.
