The Nifty One
i was wondering if there were still problems with 45nm cpus and osx? i have a q9550 in hand that i can switch out right now with the cpu i current have but wonder if it's going to cause issues.. i like the speed of the q9550 and also the extra cache on the chip and i would sure use it all. my current rig: gigabyte ep45-ud3r q6600 @ stock speed 8gb OCZ fatality 8800 GTS the rest of the usual stuff.. iPCosx 10.5.6 vanilla kernel any problems with a quick cpu swap-out? Never did it with a quad but with my dual core spare machine I went from 65nm to 45nm chip the only problem I had was having to uninstall then re-install Temperature Monitor to get the temperature for my cores other than that no fast clock problem with it that I have seen mentioned in other posts.
