aquabot Posted May 20, 2006 Share Posted May 20, 2006 Hello all, I Just enabled Quartz Extreme and Core Image in my machine, but the mouse has no shadow and terrible tearing. I can sorta live with the tearing but the fact that I am stuck with a shadowless mouse really annoys me for some reason. I enabled QE and CI by use of a modified Radeon 9700.kext, I have a Radeon 9550 card (which is AGP but detected as PCI) Is it normal for the mouse to have no shadow with these features on? Korrupted Posted May 20, 2006 Share Posted May 20, 2006 The framebuffer gets broken if you enable QE/CI/GL. Use mouseposé/mouse locator as a workaround until/if it [ever] gets fixed. The Callisto drive worked and my eyes are no longer burning out of their sockets But I still have no mouse shadow So I shalt continue on... Edit: It disabled my QE and CI.. but I dont mind too much. There's a post of someone loading a zip file that's the same shadow as the real Mac. I'll find it.
