I just performed a vanilla upgrade using the combo update to 10.5.8. While everything seems to be running fine, I am getting this message repeated over and over in my system log:

8/7/09 12:57:48 PM kernel AppleDecrypt: page_transform: in_blk = 0x76ec7000, out_blk = 0x76ec8000

I have tried installing the dsmos kext that netkas refers to on his page and it has not changed anything. Could someone point me in the right direction so I can get this problem fixed? All system specs are in my signature below.

dsmos and AppleDecrypt both do the same thing - decrypt the bits of Mac OS X that Hackintoshes are normally blocked from doing. If you install dsmos, you need to remove AppleDecrypt. From the looks of things AppleDecrypt is still your dominant decrypter.

Well that didn't work very well....When I remove the AppleDecrypt.kext I can not get the system to boot. First I thought it was Parallels since the system was freezing on boot saying it could not connect to the Parallels Daemon. Put the kext back, booted, uninstalled Parallels, and removed the kext.....Now it freezes on loading Norton AntiVirus. So I put the kext back again and here I am. Just for additional information, I am using the dsmos referenced on netkas' site.

Could an admin please move this thread to the proper sub-forum so information that may be useful to others is not lost.

Could anyone reading this thread who has an actual idea on how I might fix it please speak up as well.

I can confirm that netkas new version of dsmos has finally fixed my console errors.. thanx ^_^

Okay finally had a chance to tackle this problem again....

So this time I removed AppleDecrypt and put dsmos in BOTH the /Extra folder as well as /System/Library/Extensions, rather then just /S/L/E...WaLa, problem solved!

Oh FYI I did use the dsmos from netkas' page.
