Hardware RAID in OSX86

Hello I'm an editor - I edit with HD content and need RAID for my DATA HDDs.

 

I want to install OSX86 on a regular single HDD to keep things simple.

 

I'm going to use the Gigabyte GA-X58-UD5 MoBo.

 

I want to use its on-board RAID controller to install a RAID array.

 

I think RAID array is better because it won't depend on the easy to mess up OSX86 OS that I may reinstall or update updates etc.

 

What are my options?

I read that the new iAtkos v7 10.5.7 release supports RAID.

Easy installation on RAID targets with manual bootloader installers and packages.

But how it it working?
