Alter
Dear all, I need a help here regarding my network card, Marvell Yukon 88E8038. I wonder why it can not work with Leopard 10.5.7. I use XxX 10.5.6 Final with Vanilla option and update it into 10.5.7. I used several option to get my marvell yukon work. I tried Chun-nan method from beta release (IOPCIFamily.kext) until Leopard release (IOPCCardFamily.kext) but it caused 'Waiting for root device'. Anybody knows how to solve this? Thank you, PS : my notebook is Acer Aspire 5570Z series Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/177289-marvell-yukon-88e8038-on-leopard-1057/ Share on other sites

Did you get all your driver work? There are drivers out there for the GMA cards, but it would help to know what model wireless card yours is. There are several different 802.11abg cards out there (I assume you mean ABG not ABC correct?). The intel cards are kinda not really working, but some people have gotten them to. If you have the 2915 then your in luck, otherwise the drivers are pre-beta http://code.google.com/p/iwidarwin/ - try this for the intel wireless drivers Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/177289-marvell-yukon-88e8038-on-leopard-1057/#findComment-1213182 Share on other sites

Thanks for Alter's post, I add IOPCMCIAFamily Fix from iDeneb 1.5.1 and make some minor modify my ID in Yukon2 driver and got the Ethernet worked. Thank God! On iDeneb 1.5.1 DVD did have GMA 950 driver, and I also did try add my Hardware ID into it, but still can't get it work. My wireless card's Intel Pro 3945ABG, ID is 0x42228086. Do you have some suggestion? Thank you.
