ZimmerX
Hi, first of all, specs: Intel Core 2 Due E6600 @stock 4GB OCZ 800Mhz RAM Gigabye GA-P35-DS4 Rev 2.0 500GB Western Digital 500GB Samsung Spinpoint Pioneer DVD-RW optical drive Now, here is my dilemna: I have Vista installed, with EasyBCD (I attempted an install 6 months back) and I went onto install iAtkos V7. The install ran perfectly, I ran it normally and selected the following extras: JMicron Controller NVIDIA drivers DVI/DVI Network - Intel R1000 (I think, can't remember) The installation ran smoothly and it rebooted. Naturally, as I had EasyBCD, it booted straight in Vista. No problems there, as I already have a Chain0 file in my root. Vista boots fine, I manually add a new entry using BCDEDIT for Mac OSX. So I restart, select that and my Chameleon screen pops up. Now, I scroll to my partition that I have iAtkos installed on and I hit enter. The startup screen (white/polished silver apple logo) appears and begins to load. Then it hangs with a NO ENTRY sign on it. This has happened to me before when installing it, but never once it's installed. What do I do? My drives are set out as follows: 500GB Western Digital - disk0 - VISTA C: - 211GB disk0s2 - Extra Partition NTFS 500GB Samsung Spinpoint - Extra Partition - iAtkos disk1s2 Any help would be appreciated. MaconPC?!
It means "still waiting for root device". I encountered it the first time I tried to install iAtkos7. I installed now with SATA/IDE Drivers and it works. ZimmerX
Can I simply install over the current installation, or do I need to do a clean one again? As in, just customise and install the drivers. Thanks for the reply. MaconPC?!
I guess you should better try installing the drivers only first, to check out if it's working. I don't promise it'll work even with the drivers, but that's what I remember helping me. ZimmerX
Thing is though, that it has worked before, and I expected, now that the versions of iAtkos etc are more advanced, for the installation to run more smoothly and everything to work. If it worked last time, should it not work now as well?
