radiosilence_
Hey, getting this error. I've installed 10.5.6 retail, Chameleon 2.0, the 10.5.7 update and run the post patch script and also fixed my permissions with Disk Utility: Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. Extension "com.apple.driver.AppleACPIPlatform" has immediate dependencies on both com.apple.kernel and com.apple.kpi components; use only one style. mbinit: done Security auditing service present BSM auditing present extension "com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort" cannot be found can't find extension com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort Can't determine dependencies for com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort can't find extension com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort Can't determine dependencies for com.apple.driver.AppleAHCIPort Couldn't alloc class "AppleAHCI" ... Still waiting for root device Still waiting for root device Still waiting for root device Why is my AHCI driver not found? I'm looking at my partition (effy) in the finder of my util partition (jj) and I can see AppleAHCIPort.kext sitting there happily. I'm using a GA-P35-DS3R with AHCI enabled. I've tried copying over an older version of AppleAHCIPort.kext, same issue. azanoncello
What about if you disable AHCI in your bios? I had the same problem until I disabled it. Now I'm trying to find out how to install AHCI drivers after I already have a booting system so I can change it back to AHCI mode.
