I don't know what information will be needed to figure out this problem but I'll post whatever I think will be most helpful.

My problem is that when I shut down my computer 10 to 15 seconds after it shuts down it will turn itself back on.

My motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3L

I installed from kalyway's 10.5.2 DVD and upgraded to 10.5.6 using the combo update from apples website. I am also using the voodoo kernel 9.5 right now.

Any ideas how I can get my computer to stay shut down and not turn itself back on seconds later?

I have the same motherboard and had exactly the same problem. I tried the standard shutdown script which disables all but one core and OpenHaltRestart.kext with no luck.

In my case, the problem had nothing at all to do with the software: on this particular motherboard, the Wake-On-LAN functionality has a bizarre name (something with RING in it, I don't remember the exact phrasing) that I missed in my initial pass through the BIOS options. Anyway, with that turned off and OpenHaltRestart.kext installed, my system shuts down without any problems.

I realize it's likely you've already thought of this, but I figured I'd better mention it, just in case.
