Severnya Posted May 17, 2006 Share Posted May 17, 2006 Hi folks, Im new to the MacIntel scene. I had an iBook with tiger for about 6 months, so im fairly used to the systems. Anyway, I bought a new MacBook today and I wondered if I can install XP to a removable drive. I want to use OS X mostly, but occasionally I need to use XP for a few specialised tasks. So if i can run XP from a removable drive - I wont loose HDD space from OS X. Has anyone tried this? Colonel Posted May 19, 2006 Share Posted May 19, 2006 XP on an external drive will take some hacking, but it can be done. I've read about someone who managed to get XP on a thumb drive. I have no idea how to do it though. If you find out, let me know.
