aqualeviathan
hi there, could anyone confirm if the new macbooks come with a bootcamp driver that allows using widescreen mode on hackintoshes?? this could be very exciting news. Bootcamp has nothing to do with that. Bootcamp drivers would only allow widescreen mode when running windows. stevetooth
Hmm. My acer laptop has GMA950 graphics (its a core duo 12" acer 3010), and it runs OSX at 1280x800 without problems with full accelleration. External display works perfectly also. guiyoforward
that's great news. I saw a thread in this forum asking for people to contribute to a special "fund" for a widescreen driver... thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/17635-macbook-the-solution-for-widescreen-drivers-for-gma950/#findComment-114356 Share on other sites
vinayp
My MSI MS-1057 (12" widescreen, core duo) has GMA950 graphics and it runs perfectly at 1280x800 with full QE/CI support and 2d/3d acceleration, and supports dual displays. I don't think the drivers on the MacBook are any different than the ones on the Jas patched OS X 10.4.6. installer. So, if those don't work for you, I doubt the ones on the MacBook will.
