Hey,

I want to build a Hackintosh in order to run some pro applications like Final Cut and Logic. I was hoping I could use these as my main DAW and video editing program, but I was wondering about stability. Is it a good idea to use these programs if I'm using a Hackintosh, or should I just use the extra drive I have for samples and files and use the $100 that OS X costs towards other hardware and install OS X later on down the line?

I'd really like to install OS X, but if a hackintosh isn't stable enough to run Logic and FCP, it may not be worth the $100 investment (I'm really short on money). What are your opinions?

I have used it with final cut and logic pro and they work flawlessly, it merely depends on how compatible your system is. I built my new rig so that i could do audio on mac rather than pc and ive had no troubles what so ever. But i specced my computer up with the purpose of mac compatibilty. What specs do you have?

I have:

Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5 Motherboard

Intel Core i7 Processor

nVidia GeForce 9800GTX+

9GB RAM (3GB Crucial 6GB Patriot)

(2) Western Digital Caviar 320GB Drives

Pioneer CD/DVD Drive

Rosewill 600W PSU

I specced everything specifically to run OS X, so it should be fine I guess. Just want to hear some more experiences from people.
