su1c1de Posted May 16, 2006 Share Posted May 16, 2006 The Still waiting for root device problem that a load of people seem to be getting is a unix problem and not an install one It is where Unix is unable to detect the Hard Drive to solve the problem only have 1 CD/DVD/Whatever drive in and 1 IDE HDD (SATA is diffrent) and set the CD Drive to master and HDD to slave on IDE0 (Or the first IDE slot on your mobo) Make sure that you only use the 1 IDE slot on your mobo or it wont work.
