I followed one of the tutorials on this site (it was the 'definitive' one), and it has lead me into a dead end. The tutorial I followed didn't mention installing a boot loader until after installing OSx86, and seeing as I no longer have access to Windows, I'm kind of screwed. I am a dumbass, and didn't bother making a boot disc beforehand, and I don't have a Windows XP disc to boot off of either–my Dell didn't come with one. So I can either invoke the special Dell system restore feature and wipe out my days of installation or try to fix this in Windows. Any ideas as to how I might be able to get back into Windows manually? thanks

btw, I tried using the start up disk feature in OS X's system prefs, but it crashes every time I open it, so that's out. also, I can't seem to get os x to boot without its install disc

boot your machine with a windows XP install cd, when it gets to the setup menu, start the recovery console by hitting 'r'. It will ask you to select your windows drive and will ask you for the admin password. Once you get to the command line, type: bootcfg /rebuild

You may want to run "bootcfg /copy" first to backup your boot.ini file.
