hi,

i have the following system:

- Asrock 4Core VSTA Mainboard (VIA PT800/894 Chipset)

- Intel Core2Duo E6600

- 2GB DDR2 RAM

- Geforce 9800GT

- Netgear WG111V3 USB WLAN Stick

- 1TB SATA HDD with Win XP & Linux & Data Partition formatted with NTFS

- 160GB IDE HDD with Mac OS 10.5.7 (iPC10.5.6, updated to 10.5.7)

Everything is working perfect. I had to change some BIOS Settings for PCI-E to get the 9800GT working.

I'm using the voodoo kernel, because the vanilla kernel is not working with the asrock board.

The NTFS partitions on the SATA Drive are recognized correctly. I can read and write files to that partions using ntfs-3g.

But there is a strange problem when reading or wrting a large amount of data. The drive stops responding after a while and the internet connection is no longer available. A shutdown is also not possible.

So i think the problem is located in the via chipset driver.

I used the one which came with the iPC 10.5.6 release.

Is there another driver available (for the voodoo kernel) or should i change bios settings to get the SATA drive to work?

The problem occurs when i try to index mp3 files with iTunes or Plex or XBMC.

Btw. The problem was in 10.5.6 too, so it has nothing to do with the update.

Thanks for any advice.

P.S.: Sorry for my bad english.
