ok i tried to post a sensible question in another forum..i assume it will never hit the shelves for anyone to help with...so ill try here..i have 2 flatpanel monitors..both VGA connections..and my video card has VGA and DVI..the VGA port works fine,DVI port have a DVI to VGA adapter connected..doesnt work..

 

bot the vga and dvi output has signal..i checked each one alone and worked fine..something is keeping the from both showing up..tried detecting displays....does nothing..anyone got any input on whats wrong?..everything is great cept for this issue....thanks

I don't know the answer to your question but . . Someone that does would probably need more information such as:

Graphics card: brand, model, amount of memory on it.

How you installed OS X: Retail, or . . .

What version of the system you are using: 10.5.?

What kexts / EFI strings you have.

 

It might also be that that particular card will not support duel displays on a hack. Are you able to boot into windows and get 2 displays working ? Have you researched to see if other people with the same card have managed to get duel displays working, and if so, what they did ?

you know this forum is sooo helpful...i figured it out myself..i mean all someone had to say was...check your NVcap....

Hey, want it simple - buy a real mac. You haven't given any machine specs, you didn't say what you've already tried, what kexts you're using or your nvcap. The best thing is... YOU NEVER USED THE SEARCH FUNCTION! This issue was on the forum LOTS of times and probably everybody's sick of answering the same questions over and over again. First search THEN ask.
