jpipitone Posted May 15, 2006 Share Posted May 15, 2006 Has anyone experienced Mac OS X hanging up quite frequently? I see the spinning beach ball way too much for my comfort. I use a few applications here and there, I haven't customized my OS X installation at all. I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.6 from the HOTiSO DVD, and installation went well. I installed the SSE2 patch as well as the patch for sound. I have a Pentium 4 2.8ghz machine.. The only other thing I can think of that I installed was the NVidia drivers (MacVidia) I'll see the spinning beach ball when I get info on certain folders, and it will cause the entire machine to hang. Very strange, I have to power the entire box off and back on to recover. Can't even force quit...
